Nootka Adventure
The Nootka Adventure is a summer camp program offered by the Wilderness Youth Leadership Development (WYLD) and Strathcona Park Lodge. Participants of WYLD summer camps will leave with four lifelong skills; self-reliance, compassion, appreciation and awareness for the world around us, and self-respect. A sea kayaker’s dream, the Nootka Adventure will take place in Nootka Sound – the rugged coast near Gold River. Participants are expected to have sufficient background experience in kayaking to participate in this moderately challenging program.

A Wilderness Youth Leadership Development is a demanding and challenging program. Participants are expected to be leaders and act resourcefully, all to help them learn how to survive and enjoy the wilderness. The Strathocna Park Lodge is the home base for the WYLD’s home base. Founded in 1959, the lodge has had over 100 000 visits from school kids. The Nootka Adventure is an exciting opportunity that will orientate around a sea kayak trip.
